SS01: Main Power F0109P1
Main Power AUX. WINDING OVER CURRENT” Try to close VCB again.
Introduction of (F0109P1)
The Fault Message no. F0109P1, “AUX. WINDING OVER CURRENT” means it affects BUR-1, BUR-2 and BUR-3. Effects: Due to which DJ trips and LSDJ and BPFA glow and LSFI flickering. 💡Lamp Indication: (F0109P1)
LSDJ & BPFA will glow, LSFI will start blinking
❌Effect:
VCB will trip.
🛠️Action to be taken by Loco pilot:
- Acknowledge the fault by pressing the “BPFA” button.
- Then Press the “BLDJ” button to close the VCB.
- If the problem persists, an “Isolation Message” will appear.
- Then Acknowledge the isolation message by pressing the “Enter” button.
- After that Coast to a clear block section, bringing the locomotive to a “dead stop” for safety.
** Scenario 2: Fault Message **
SS01: Main Power F0109P1
“MAIN POWER ISOLATED VCB” inhibited Loco is dead.
💡Lamp Indication:
LSDJ & LSFI will glow
❌Effect:
VCB will not close.
🛠️Action to be taken by Loco Pilot:
- Switch OFF and then ON the MCE once again.
- After that Raise panto ➡️ close VCB ➡️ Resume Traction.
- If VCB still cannot be closed, proceed to “Shut Down the Loco.”
- And check the “Background Message” on the DDU.

- Then “isolate BUR-1, BUR-2 & BUR-3” individually one by one by opening:
- MCB-127.22/1
- MCB-127.22/2
- MCB-127.22/3
- after that try to Close the VCB.
- If not successful/None of these action restore traction than ask for relief loco within 20 minutes.
