Fault No: F0102P1 (VCB Stuck in OFF Position)



The “F0102P1 fault message number” primarily arises due to malfunction or defects in the VCB (Vacum Circuit Brearker). Because of which, the fault message “VCB STUCK IN OFF POSITION Try to close VCB again.” and “MAIN POWER ISOLATED VCB Inhibited loco is dead.” appears in the DDU (Driver Display unit).

LSDJ & BPFA will glow, LSFI will start blinking.

VCB control changed to redundant proccessor.

  • Bring Throttle to “0”position. Acknowledge fault by pressing BPFA.

  • Ensure VCB COC in open position.
    • press BLDJ to close VCB.
    • If VCB gets closed then resume traction.

  • Otherwise coast to clear the block section, if posible, then bring the loco to dead stop.
  • Switch OFF the MCE and Switch it ON once again.(Click here for MCE OFF and ON procedure)
    • Raise panto
    • and close VCB
    • and resume Traction.
  • If not successful, try from rear cab.



LSDJ & LSFI will glow.

VCB will not close.
